Texting on-the-almost-ride

Well. It looks like this is going to be my best shot of a person multitasking in this manner: while riding a bicycle. Copenhagen is (in)famous for its many bicycles. And for its many bicycles riding inconsiderate. But on the other hand I would like to suggest that the level of confidence and trust in others, that it takes to go peddaling down the street, while being preoccupied by text messagings is - well quite stunning.
So a picture of texting-on-the-almost ride. Almost ultimate multitasking (try saying that last sentence fast, ten times in a row ;o) )

Texting on the ride

He is in the background... on a bicycle... almost being swallowed up by the red, parked car. My best shot of texting on the ride

Where are you going?

This picture is kind of a preview of an upcomming theme for this blog; kids and technology. I still think that there is a kind of two-worlds-feeling to the sight of a mother her kid and the phone. Kids are phenomenal - have you ever considered how "grown-up-like" a kid talking on the mobile phone behave?
Well - todays picture (still taken with my trusty old Sone Ericsson C902) is mother, kid, trolley and mobile phone. Mobility and multitasking in one (and isn't parenthood like that?

Crossing the street

For the longest time I have been on the alert for possible picture oppotunities of the "crossing the street"-type. Think it is an expression of ultimate confidence and trust in the surroundings: crossing the street while not minding exactly that business, but the business of being in contanct with the guy at the other end.
Trust and confidence and a mobilephone. Gotta love that constellation.

I am planning the fieldwork for the comming months and was wondering if any of you have some good snapshots depicting the "otherplacely" aspect of mobilephone use. I mean; look at us talking away in public, navigating the everyday life (such as crossing the street), but not being entirely present. Here and there. In a hybrid space. Beautiful isn't it?

I have taken various pictures with my SE C902 mobilephone camera, of persons crossing the street while texting. I have included one below, but hopefully I will get a better one in the comming days.

Track your photos with Google Earth

Unfortunately there are no new mobile phone camera shot today. I have been down with the flu: apparently it is colder than you may think stalking Metro entrances, busstops and the road in general, trying to get the best shot of every day life, with my kind-of beloved Sony Erisson C902.

But I did take time for some in-doors activities. isn't Google Earth one of the funniest tools ever. And kind of awesome?? If you share my interest in capturing everyday life with your mobile phone camerae odds are that your phone has a Google Earth feature. My SE c902 does.

Geo tags
Geo tags is the most usual name for it and it uses the gps in your mobile phone to position your shot on Google earth. I spend an evening tracking myself and my fieldwork efforts on the multitasking theme for this month. I realize that I need to broaden up my field of research.

The mission
If you are new to this blog my mission is to capture every day life with mobile phones. In both sense, i.e. I shoot everyday life with the camera in my Sony Ericsson C902 mobile phone and I shoot pictures of people using their phones in various ways under various themes. This months theme is Multitasking. Sphere: Related Content
